  • Back with a jazzy jam

Well, almost three weeks off the board... damn work!

A lot happened in the meantime, I sold my SD pups (don't kill me, I'll buy new ones for my next guitar).

So this is Rid's Jazzy Jam backtrack on which I give a shot at the DMZ Fred in the neck position... surprisingly good, in my opinion. I did not buy this pup for that kind of music, yet I'm impressed by the tone.

    Here :

    Jazzy Jam

    And it's almost clean work...

I'll try to come back more often from now on.

    Enjoy!

        Well, thanks a lot guys...

Wow Derek Trucks, man, I like this guy a lot! This is too much xerxes

It's a DiMarzio Fred, created for Joe Satriani who use it exclusively in the bridge position. It's like a Paf Pro with balls (more mids). I really like it in the neck position. Very tight pup.

        Cheers!

                      That sounds awesome man

You always get great tones especially on your neck pups, and the playing is nice and melodic on this piece

Thanks nuntius. This guitar has a great tone, and any good pup sound great in it. I really like A5 pups for their tighter low-end sound.

Sweet. Nice smooth chops with cool melodies. That pickup is fat and bright at the same time. Good job Sly!

Yeah, it's basically a Paf Pro with beefed up mids and tighter bottom end, so it retains the brightness of the Paf Pro but with more balls. I really like it in the neck position, but it's too bright for my taste in the bridge position. Thus the Super D. Tha's a nasty, fat SOB
