    great tune ! ... crowd always dug when we played that as part of a 'budokan' medley along with surrender and aint that a shame ... your guitar parts are spot on and the tone sounds dialed right in !! ... the singer seemed to have a touch of range stretch goin' on ... maybe a half step down would suit him more comfortably ... but the band is tight too with just enough looseness to make it rollickin good time rock n roll

              Thanks Bill. This was recorded at an old roadhouse and the crowd is very favorable...makes it easy to play.

                      Now, Bill, you know I love you bro...

                      But speaking as Robin Zander's neighbor (one community and two blocks removed): It's hit & miss, mostly miss:

                      Hit - I dig the funky ragtime/country rock feel
                      Hit - Nice guitar tone (awesome double-stop bend right out of the gate!)

                      Miss - Intro drums; Sweet called to say they want intro from Ball Room Blitz returned
                      Miss - No bass, Can't over emphasise the importance of a monster bass moving this tune.
                      Miss - just not tight - not that Cheap Trick isn't loose, but in a good way.
                      Miss - Not digging the vocals

                      Check out Dwight Yoakam's do-over for a little inspiration. I think you'll dig it.

                        I have tried to no avail to get my drummer to play it like the record....ain't gonna happen.

                        The bass was very loud when we recorded....and I hear it OK on my PC.....

                        I can't say anything about the vocals except this was near the end of the night.
