I'm pretty much an amateur recording artist..
I just recorded this today.

I need some tips/hints on what I didn't do or what I should do..

listened to it through my 5.1 surround system. i honestly wouldn't change a thing if youre happy. I like the ammount of low end you captured. not too much, just enough to add that warmth. The vocals sound great for the most part. toward the end they become louder and it doesnt sound as great as it did in the rest of the song. The pick scrape adds a nice texture and certainly belongs but it is a bit dominating. You may have to rethink your mic placement to pull that sound back some unless you used two mics and can bring the level down

i really enjoyed your production on this, it complimented the song well and felt very warm and inviting. You may have a knack for this

Liked the tune a lot. Your mix sounds great but the only thing I would change is maybe how the opening guitar is panned but you may have done that for effect. I listen through headphones and everything was panned to the left side. Also check out the 3:39 area. You have some noise there.

Excellent job on the tune! Oh one other thing I would change is use a different source for your mp3 so people do not have to jump through hoops to listen lol.

Wow... Thanks guys.
I've tried to do as much research as I could on the subject, and also tried my best at mic placement etc..

The reason why the guitar sounds like it's panned to left is because I used two mics. The mic closest to the neck was a small diaphragm, and the one closest to the bridge was a large diaphragm. I panned each one to left or right for a more stereo sound.

I'm guessing that since the large mic puts out lower frequencies, you get that more bassy sound on the left.. The fact that it's nearest the sound hole plays a large factor as well.

I'm sure I can eq out those lower freq's..

Keep em' coming. Your doing great. The only comment I have (and I hate to critique others) is your vocals in the beginning was a touch pitchy. Very good, but slightly off. Good job!

Wow man.. You've been a great help. I really can't thank you enough for giving me reviews on all the songs lol.

I've really haven't got many compliments for them. My family isn't really a fan of good music haha.
