  • The Blues

A new blues tune called "But I Don't Have You".
It features my new Gibson Les Paul 1958 VOS into the Marshall SIlver Jubilee 2555 half stack.

    prescription cigarettes and micro brew
    got my creature comforts
    but I don't have you
    drivin' to the hotel
    in my cadillac blue
    chrome wheels spinnin'
    on the avenue
I got money in my pockets
and a new shine on my shoes

    pretenses up in smoke
    I exhale the truth
    my thoughts clear the room
    all I need is you
    I'll trade my car in
    I'll trade my suit
    I'll use the profits
to build a castle for you
    the days drift by
I live them one at a time
    I count the moments
    until I make you mine

amazing stuff, especially the lead work. cool lyrics and licks! I sorta found myself missing a chorus in between the two paragraphs/verses that comes back to the "I Don't Have You" line, but this was your vision and sounds great. did you have all those leads worked out, or was it one of those play what comes to mind at the time sorta things?

I love your blues playing! I've been meaning to ask you what your vocal chain is? I think it sounds like it's in another room all of the time, maybe that's what you're going for?
          Anyhow cool playing and tune.
