  • The Whole Song

Here's a demo of a tune calles Whole Song I played with the last original band I was in. The vocal is straight, and un-EQ'd so it is a bit pointed. For a mixdown tone, I'd cut 1 and 2K.

The instruments aren't in their correct relationship either, but this is just a rough, home listening mix to study the tune.

Still, I'd like feedback from folks about the song itself.

Gear was a '78 LP Custom, Blue Tube OD pedal into a '68 bassman/newer 4x12

Rhythm and lead parts have since been re-cut with a Tele...much better, but it has a few sound glitches in the choruses, so it's a scrapper.

The song itself works fine. My feeling is that you would need a modern country/pop arrangement and treatment to make it more current and take it out of the 70's.
