  • What scale used in Dimmu version of Metal Heart (Accept cover)

    Hello guitar gods,

I'm trying to learn scales, more like how they work and when they apply. The one solo I'd really love to learn is the Dimmu Borgir version of Accept's "Metal Heart".

I'm trying to figure out what scale was used in this solo, or if it's a combination of scales and also what key they're in.

Any help / advice is greatly appreciated.

Just took a listen to it, its mostly Harmonic Minor, especially the more classical sounding parts.

Some parts are actually pretty close to FÜR Elise by Beethoven too.

Make sure you learn the Natural Minor, also called the Aeolian scale, and then see what you have to modify to make it Harmonic Minor and others.

Went on youtube to look for it and found this. Then all the blood rushed from my metal heart to my wooden stick.

Yeah.... umm.... that's definitely not the song I'm trying to learn.

That was actually pretty awful. The guitarist is good though.
