  • New clip: no distortion pedals =)

but the marshall super lead turned to 10
now, this shows that the modelers are still a fair bit away from the real deal.

it's running through a 4X12 cab w/ greenback 25's, miced with a condenser mic at 100% .. supposed to be farthest away from the speakers as possible..
put a bit of verb and delay on it to spice it up a tad, but both are in reasonable amounts.

excuse the clipping here and there, but i have sound card issues which i really have no power over (going to change it soon)

just a simple chord progression (i'm in a creativity hole nowadays). starts with volume knob turned back, and switch in middle position. i gradualy turn the volume up and for the final boost switch to the JB.
you can hear they got the drive pretty good, but the sound is still not 100% spot on

so ben, you like? and i dont know, would this be considered as brown sound or something else?

    enjoy people
    Brown sound maybe???

Very cool tone, hard to beat a marshall cab

Man, Davey, you just convince me to get a JB/59 pair. I love the tone!

Oh man thatīs a good thing. Is it working also great if you play some solo stuff? I have always problems to play a good solo without a (distortion)pedal .

Your JB is not humming by the way right? Mine was humming since it was installed. Tomorrow I can pick up my guitar again and I hope there is no humming too

there's this gain buzz, but it doesnt hum.. except when i release the strings, but thats a shielding isuue i guess.

the lead tone is really glassy, not thick enough for my taste, but i do like the rythm tone, it's sweet if you got two guitars going cos you dont need to cover your ass with that much gain =)

good luck with the geetar man

i'm glad you people like it =)

Yes. I do like! The tone sounds very good, very live, and very real ... however, I wouldn't classify it as a brown sound, per se. Check out old EVH and old White Lion for some classic brown sound type tones.
