  • clips of my splawn quick rod: VH

ok here's some short clips of my splawn quick rod...these were recorded all as one take so ignore the mistakes...you can get a good idea of what this amp sounds like...for a VH fan it's awesome!
these were recorded using NO effects...it's just the amp...with a 57 reissue goldtop les paul plugged straight into it (my floyded guitars had old strings)...it's running on 2 tubes...

It sounds very cool, but I think the mic might be too far, and there's quite a bit of boominess to it ...
Why don't you take your little Cobra Kais and get outta here?!

As the others said, great playing, but recording issues.

        Keep it up.

That definitely nails the VH vibe perfectly. The "Unchained" clip you posted did it for me. The harmonics were there in spades and it sounds incredibly rich.

Very Marshall of the good sort sounding.
Defently a major thing if you like classic rock sounds!

                  It sounds great!
But, to me, Your Les paul sounds kinda thin.
                  Maybe it's just the recording.
