  • mic'ing the back corner of a cab?

    dude was telling me he likes to mic the back corner of a closed back cab with a ribbon mic to catch the thump (to be used in conjunction with a mic on the speaker). anyone do this here?

    Sounds interesting. I wish I had a mixer so I could try out these odd combination I hear about.

      I've seen someone try a variation on that idea; it wasn't well-received.
