  • The Winter's Snow

    Laptop mic....one take....raw...if not, sloppy:

    Link

    Verse 1:
The White Light signifies the ultimate end
its casting my shadows on who I've been
A moment in time captured by the fission
of who I am now compared to then

    Visions bleeding through my mind
my eyes are bleeding all of the time
She is broken and I am dying
But she is one of a kind

    Chorus:
And the best things that we know
Have all melted with the winters snow
    And years ago my dear
We forged the bond that is resting

    Please come again dear friend
hold on tightly to the we have
    Because soon it'll disappear
We'll be left w/ the traces
    of what we have made

    Verse 2:
The final screams of innocent kids
fill the air as it begins
from dust they came and so they return
laying down with their mother earth

I see it in your breaking smile
what you've been saying all this while
"Don't you go, don't you leave me
Stay forever, we'll be so happy."

    Chorus:
And the best things that we know
Have all melted with the winters snow
    And years ago my dear
We forged the bond that is resting

    Please come again dear friend
hold on tightly to the we have
    Because soon it'll disappear
We'll be left w/ the traces
    of what we have made

    Outro:
The White Light signifies the ultimate end
its casting my shadows on who I've been
A moment in time captured by the fission
of who I am now compared to then

Wow, that is good. I think you are maturing and beginning to write some accessibly introspective ( sometimes the younger teenage mind can feel the artists ethos, but at that tender age, it just isnt able to translate across boundaries), insightful and engaging lyrics.

Those lyrics are great, man. That laptop mic doesn't do that song justice.

This is my favorite songs, its luminous, but, and I realize that this will most likely make lots of people go-off
              The game is over.

In this age where everything is so polished and slick, your lo-fi stuff like this just comes across as so humanistic and real, it's a breath of fresh air. And this is a good one, really good.

What i am noticing is that you sort of have two streams going on .... this kind of material and your electronica. Are you aware of that and keeping them separate, or do you have an area where the two combine somehow ? I'd love to hear the two different elements combining.

I've said it before, but it's worth repeating .... just keep doing what you do.

I'd love to combine them! Its not something that I've tried to much...it just kind of happens to be folky or electronic-y. I'd like to combine somehow

Well that was deep and entrancing. The lyrics were just stunning, the feel was hypnotic. I really liked it a lot.

Thanks man! I'm very happy with it and this will definitely being going on my first "full release." By that I mean my first release in this style/my first serious set of material.
