  • Hookin up

I've been practicing for 2 years now, from beginner to being 'stuck', so I need to jam with people. I'd probably get laughed on this, but how does one go about finding people to jam in the local scene? I know it's real easy if you're in big city, you go into lots of clubs. Or if you're in high school, and starting to play. But I'm much older and live in small town. Is there a e harmony site for musicians? I'm a good lover, promise.

        Re: Hookin up

I met one of my current band members at a jam session I was trying to get going at the shop I work at. We had similar musical tastes (i.e., did NOT want to jam on bluegrass tunes all night!) and went in search of other musicians.

We got our singer off of Craig's List.
Found the number of a good drummer through an inquiry I made on CL

Yeah, Craig's List can work well, even in a small town or rural area. Give it a shot.
