  • Maricella wound me a nice set of pups! Clips inside!

    Hi,

Been a while since my last post! Maricella wound me a set of custom humbuckers for my Baker RF earlier this year. They are a potted hybrid between a Lover and a 59. 8.2 neck and 8.8 bridge or thereabouts....

Here are a few clips with varying tones. Recorded using an SM57 close micing a THD 2x12 cab with their THD Vintage speakers. Fuchs SLX amp.

Clips 1a and 1b - Fusion Overdrive tone, bridge pup http://www.scottlernermusic.com/coax...ightWetter.MP3

Clip 2 - Clean jazz tone, neck pup rolled off a bit http://www.scottlernermusic.com/slx/...SundayJazz.MP3

Clip 3 - Dirty jazz tone, bridge pup

Here are two Zendrive samples I did. Both bridge pup. Amp on clean channel.

I like these pups. I have my pots knocked down at 330k or so... .047 tone caps btw.

            scott,
            thanks

I have a friend who has a Baker, and I think he's going for that fusion tone, so I'll let him know, and tell him to check your clips.

In case anyone's wondering, I can play everything Scott does and my tone is 100 times better.

Incredible....absolutely incredible. I found another one for my playlist that I didn't have. "Sunday Jazz"....awesome! I'll have those licks memorized before April of 2008, so look out! :::smirk:::

hi scott .. thanks for the clips .. your playing is simply brilliant ... those tones are perfect as you emplyed them .. i really loved 500 miles high as you played it .. hearing it reminded me of a story

frank gambale took me to school on that tune once at the natl. gtr summer workshop ... called me up in front of the class .. made me solo first ... it took every ounce of concentration i had to try to get CLOSE to the changes for a couple of times through the form (i sucked) .. then he proceeded to roar thru the changes WHILE TALKING TO THE CLASS ABOUT WHAT HE WAS DOING ... scairy fun

                          cheers
