  • Biohazard style riffage!

the groove of the drums is what got me going for this riff.
reminds me of mid 90s Biohazard.

this is mixing two separate boosts into the B-52 AT-100
two layers are boosted with the Boss MT-2
two layers with the Boss SD-1
there is something about each of them that when blended that cancel out the SD-1's sort of solid state feel, and the SD-1 adds a fuller dimension to the MT-2's lack of overdrive feel since it is a distortion unit, they lay on top of each other nice. almost sounds marshally imo.

      Great job man.
Best amp tech I've ever had and hands down one of the best electronic/sound wizards in the NC Piedmont.

        thanks guys!
that MT-2 as a secondary boost added another dimension.

i changed the above youtube video to the new one

wasnt happy with the open reverby space sucking drums so i spent even more time working on it. started over with them. applying transients was really able to get them to punch and fit clearer in the mix. this stuff is hard!!
when i make another track i can instantly use these drums instead. saves time to work on it hard once in a while.

Yeah, it sounds even better now.

Totally! Recording/programming is really hard if you want to have a fine final product. It's worth it to first tweak, tweak & tweak good presets for yourself. Then there's nothing to stop your workflow. I'm still searching for my sounds... You have a very good clarity + grind combo in your recordings.

Sounds great, so fat and thick. I can see how the drum groove got you going. Great Job!
