  • The Dime Scale

I've run into a bunch of back issues of Guitar One, and one mag discussed The Dime Scale (Dimebag's use of the pentatonic blues/chromatic hybrid scale playing). I wanted to get a bit more info on it, and after a quick search and I ran across this cool article about Dime playing chromatically and against the rules of music so to speak:

Thanks for sharing. I'll have to mess around with this later on.I play alot of chromatic stuff so maybe this will be easy for me. I doubt it will though.

I was digging ex#19 of second part, the chromatic walk-up thing. Pretty easy but still sounds cool.

Awesome man, thanks for sharing this!

I remember some old Dime lesson he was giving with some weird "symmetrical" chromatic pattern that was cool as hell.
