  • Blues standards

im just looking for some good blues to play and jam on. Some standards. I know hideaway, red house, little wing, green onions and of course anything with a 145 progression. Any good standards that are a little different and have a catchy theme?

            Re: Blues standards

I dunno' about standards, but you could probably find backtracks or tabs for "Going Down" by Jeff Beck (redone by various people, including Satch) or Tightrope by SRV. Those are good.

              stormy monday blues-

It's got a great bluesy/jazzy feel and a bit more variety than the std 1-4-5

I think everyone and their mother has covered it

                    Re: Blues standards

now, most people are going to say, check out robert johnson!!!! WELL DONT! believe it or not, he had influences. in fact, if you do check these songs out, you will notice that these songs sound remarkable simular to mr. johnson's songs, yet they came out much earlier......

you want some blues standards....do check these out.
