  • Any Reaper guys here?

I use a PC with Cubase 6 for most of my recording, but my PC is starting to show signs of age and I have an iMac which is much faster. I downloaded Reaper onto it just to see how the Mac handles the track count, and it seems to be working well. I may end up mixing with Reaper by default as the track count for mixing 15 minute long songs of 100+ tracks is making my PC crash.

Just wondering if there are any other Reaper users here (I'm sure there are). Learning Reaper's language, which seems to use Pro Tools' lexicon, is proving to be a daunting task.

Does anyone know where I can find a list with all of the keyboard shortcuts?

One thing I love about Reaper is the use of the V command to sculpt fade in/fade out. Simple, intuitive, very quick workflow. Colour me impressed.

I'd also suggest downloading the manual:

and if you do make the switch, there's a few GREAT books by the author of the manual:

might not be so helpful but I use reaper only, I never read on it since it is intuitive for basic recordings, but in rare instances I google up on their forum and look on youtube if something is bugging me

I want to sidechain my bassguitar, so one day I plan to do it, here is my video that I am working on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkl2v-HO0nQ
