I really like the use of 5/4. One of my favorite time signatures along with 3/4 and 6/8. I really like signatures that are multiples of 3 or 5.
Just curious, have you tried playing it in Cm or Bbm? I find those to be very interesting keys that can spice up a riff. Otherwise it is good, I will just admit to enjoying material that exemplifies a minor-keyed tonality. If the listener likes major-tonalities, then this should be great.
