  • Pedal Connector Question

Are there any disadvantages to having very short cables between my pedals on a pedal board? The extra cable is getting in my way.

None that I can think of, unless they are so short you can't get your feet between the pedals.

Thanks, I was only worried about too much tension or angle on the cables.

Shouldn't be a problem. I'm using a whole bunch of the Fender 6" patch cables with r/h plugs on them. They seem just fine.

            Re: Pedal Connector Question

they make pedalboard connectors that are nothing more than two plugs with a sort length of metal tube at a 90 degree. Pedals butted right up against each other.

            Short is good.

Problem with those is that they don't flex. That can put stress on the jacks and even cause them to separate from the PCB.
