  • stumbled onto annihilator never, neverland tone

goofing with the gsp 1101 and stumbled on something very similar to jeff waters' tone on never, neverland. kinda noisy since it's got a virtual tube screamer and a real boss super OD in front of the unit, but it made me want to play fun palace. he's definitely got a more compressed and EQ'ed tone (scooped, fixed high end fizzle), but I'm not really taking things further here, just messing around.

unfortunately, I prefer his tone on alice in hell better, but that one's harder to copy with the gsp I think.

I actually like your tone better than Waters'. His sounds kinda honky and nasal, yours sounds a lot fuller and crunchier.

Didn't expect to hear that! I need to figure put what tone is really "me" in the gsp. It falls somewhere between a 77 marshall and the jcm 800 model. Thanks for commenting.
