  • DIO - Rainbow In The Dark

Did another one... one of my favorite solos ever... there's Irish fire in there (back when Viv had balls).

Pushing the limits of my rig; I was goosing a PAF big time (I'm sure Viv used... SH-5 Custom, perhaps?).

So yeah, did all the guitars and mix; unfortunately, the bozo who created the backing track goofed up a few a bars, so the whole tune is missing a small chunk around the solo part. I tried to make the solo (not note for note) fit as best possible.

(you'll probably have to download the .mp3 to play it; seems the Google drive player doesn't work... for me at least)

Sounds awesome! Seems a bit more laid back and relaxed than the original, though.

This song is 30 plus years old! And it still is a great song. Nice job.
"Seems a bit more laid back and relaxed than the original, though" Its like the backing just doesn't have the immediacy of a Dio performance.
