  • Improvised jam with a former collaborater

So a buddy came over to collect some gear he was lending me before I packed away the studio for my big move to Phoenix. We had a little jam for old-times sake that I think turned out kind of fun!

Drums and samples = korg electribe

Bass = Squire J. Bass run through my looper and then direct in.

Guitar = Schecter c1 through my fender HRD

One track of each, all in mono. Apologies for any minor clipping. I might try to develop some of these ideas further in the near future.

    Schecter C-1 elite(alt-5, Fullshred)
    Fender Strat (Jb jr, ssl-2)
    Mesa Boogie Rectoverb
    Marshall 1960a
    Fender Hot Rod Deluxe

That was cool. Reminded me of a car commercial for some reason.
Why don't you take your little Cobra Kais and get outta here?!

Oh and nice recording, good tone, it holds together well. It could use a bridge of some sort to change it up a bit. But nice clear recording and good consistent playing.

Got just a couple errands left to run and plan to depart this afternoon. It's a 26 hour drive, so depending on how many stops we make I should be there by the 2nd or 3rd.

Thanks! I agree it could use a bridge, which is why I was thinking about returning to it in the near future. I love jamming, but my abilities aren't yet such that I can compose fluid changes on the fly without risking a giant fumble :P

Haha, nice. Would you call it a "motoric" feel? And thanks!
