          Thx.. now for the funny part:

          No tube amps were used... in fact, there wasn't a single physical guitar amp involved.

          It was all done on my PC... using Positive Grid's BIAS.

          I've written about BIAS before; I'm still impressed with the tonal quality and feel of this sim... and I've always hated modelers.

          So, the signal chain is this:

          Guitar (SD SH-5)
          |
          UA LA610MkII line input
          |
          DAW
          |
          [VST plugin] BIAS (Mesa-Boogie Mark II C+)
          |
          [VST plugin] Waves Doubler
          |
          [VST plugin] Kjerhaus Classic Reverb (just a touch)
