  • Who Played on the SD Site Soundbytes section?

I was just listening to all the pickups in the Soundbytes Section of this site, and they listed what all the guitars and amps were, but didn't mention who played the clips. Does anyone know?

I don't think so. It seems like I remember Evan telling who it was right after the CD's came out, and it wasn't a familiar name.

His name is Matt Blackett. He played in the band Luce and is also an editor at Guitar Player Magazine.

I believe Evan and Rodney started the original forum in 98 or so. I started hanging out in 99 I believe.

Actually, I started the SD User Group Forum in '96. There were other pickup forums on the use-net (like alt.guitar.pickups), but this was the first guitar pickup forum on the web. I was the first administrator. Then, after me, WebMistress Kellie was the administrator. Rodney was the third administrator -- by then it was the late-'90s.

What a long, strange trip it's been.

Yeah, Kev, I was hear for that abortion of board software.... I'm guessing I've been around here about 5 years now. Rodney was admin when I showed up. Jolly was the first guy I spoke with over the phone. Sold him my first Pearly Gates set.
