  • Blues-rock video jam with Rio's.

I turned my camera on again whilst I was jamming away with my custom Jacaranda guitar with Rio Grande BBQ/Texas humbuckers.
Just guitar, chord and Koch Twintone amp. Loose jammin'...

Compared to my Les Paul? What do you think?

          Sounds good man!

Mabe you should turn the amp up though, you were getting a bit drowned out

The les paul sounded a little bit fatter and smoother, but you can't really tell much because it's a video, and the amp does get drowned out a little bit by the backing track

I liked both, and the playing is great in both

                Thanks guys! They're on me!

I'm sorry about the recording quality, it's just the camera mic.
I really couldn't turn up the amp any more without having the neighbours around wanting to thump me!

Play with feeling...errr...is that something rude?

                    I know what you mean...

but didn't you grasp the feeling of: "I gotta let of some steam really fast before somebody comes in to tell me to stop that racket"???

Didnt mean it to sound rude,Just can see you have good chops, and you are playing a Albert King Song so you just need to control yourself and play with feeling and leave some space between the phrases,If you do that at the tender young age that you are You will keep those good habits when you sit down with some good blues players, and all your speed will be directed to positive energy.

I was playing along to a Gary Moore cover of an Albert King song where Gary blazes at 160 mph with blues scales over the fretboard.

I guess you didn't grasp the spirit of the recording which was to have fun, talk about tone and pickups and not take oneself too seriously.

I know,But Both Alberts tell Gary to slow down also,I dont take you seriously, you wanted some opinions, and so I discribed some,

Again I stated that you play and your tone was good,But if you play the song and with more feel,Man you will sure be a bit more above, and when pepole listen they will brag on your playing.
                            Isnt that what you want?

                              Yeah..I know...

I was just fooling around finger practicing, so I was obviously speeding around just for fun not trying to make anybody go: "Wow, that was meaningfull, I should really phone up my mom more often..."

However, I'd be careful equating speed with "no feeling"...just listen to flamenco guitarists and such.

And I really don't make these videos so people would think I'm some kinda musical genius, because if I wanted that kind of reaction, I'd be practicing a well thought out tune, with a great recording and maybe I'd show my face as well!

I'm just having fun and I hope you are as well.
