Get a firewire PCMCIA card. No problemo, assuming you have an available slot.

The one limitation of those cards is that they don't provide the kind of power demanded by the firewire spec.

thanks all, does that mean that a pcmcia card will not work properly with my firepod?

Since the firepod doesn't seem to use firewire for power (the web site says it has an external power supply), it should work fine.
