  • Plexitone Blues - Home Made Tube Amp

I had the crunch setting on about 25% for the first solo (on the neck). Then I used the high gain setting at about 75% for the 2nd half (bridge).
This amp head was made by my old neighbor He is no longer in this world, and his wife gave the amp to me when she was cleaning house before she moved. It has 2 12ax7s and 2 el34s in it. It has big transformers and it's all about headroom.

I loved the 1st solo. Killer blues tone ! Very transparent and the notes seem to bloom like a tube rectifier.

I liked that one, Steve. Great playing as always, bro. Loved that smokey vibe of the neck pickup in the first solo. Even at the higher gain setting for the 2nd solo the pedal seems to have a very organic quality to it. Definatley one of the better sounding boxes out there. I think I may be looking into one of those myself after the holidays.
