  • Websites/Books/Movies...

I thought it might be a good idea to have a thread that lists all of the well known and proven resources for self-teaching. No matter of which media. Just post the title, author, media type, and what it's good for.

Edit: I need some good stuff for LEARNING slide, I know nothing of the technique but would like to learn.

I don't mean to spam or anything but since you asked.....you can check out my site at http://fretology.com The free basic lessons are a continuous work in progress and it's more geared toward music theory for guitar. A technique and styles section is in the works.

If you check it out and don't find what you are looking for, feel free to let me know so I can get to work on it!

      Re: Websites/Books/Movies...

Since you ask, my site http://www.guitarforbeginners.com/forum/ offers close to 70 movie/midi/tab/commentary lessons, mosty fingerstyle acoustic; I have several free slide lessons accessible from my other site http://www.bottleneckguitar.com and if you're interested in the 'trick' to seeing the entire fretboard as familiar, friendly territory, check out my other-other site http://www.thatllteachyou.com

You can hear my brand of music (mostly slide) at http://www.soundclick.com/kirklorange/

      There ...
