  • Telecaster funk (APTL-3JD + APS-1)

I used a cool funky backing to test out my Telecaster.
I put an Alnico II Strat pickup in the neck position (APS-1) and a Jerry Donahue (APTL-3JD) in the bridge position.

    The pickups are used:

APS-1 for rhythm guitar and first clean solo.
    APTL-3JD for distorted solos.
Both together for the second clean solo.

    Here is the recording:

    Give me some feedback. PLEASE!

I think it's hot, bro!! That rhythm is tight and soulfunky!

I have a JD and that's exactly why I love it. Not so *****in' edgy, unless you want it to be.

Very nice-I dig all the tracks you post.

            Great tone! Very tight playing.

I especially like the overdriven JD sounds...

              Spanking cool man!
Great tones, love the gnarly twangy drive.
The APS-1's are always a pleasure

                  Fuzz-

You should get a Tele and a JD-I can't think of a better sounding driven pickup than the JD. You'd be glad you did!

                      Thanks for listening guys!

I can confirm the JD sounds great even under heavy gain situations.

Great sustain and "snap"...the APS-1 is nice and creamy when distorted, but still cuts through very nicely.
