  • Jazz/59 neck Hybrid. In the neck spot, not the bridge, in case anyone was wondering.

Been swapping pickups around in this Jackson DXMG for a while.
The latest is a companion to the JB in the bridge, a Jazzn/59n hybrid. One coil of each, not sure which is slug. I had a standard Jazz n in there for a while. It's nice. but I wanted more low end.
    The hybrid brings it.
    Well, here, listen for yourself.

Can certainly hear more low end in there!

I think it might be worth getting for my Schecter Blackjack. I like the ‘59 in it for leads but always loved the jazz for cleans. I always thought that Randall RH had great cleans for solid state with the clean boost being a great feature.

Sounds good. Hybrids rule. That 3d tone. Now you have to put a JB/59 hybrid in the bridge.
        The things that you wanted
        I bought them for you

            But no loss of definition.

I would probably go JB/Custom first. With a double thick ceramic.

Did you get the 59/Jazz hybrid from the custom shop, did you make it or is it a production pickup I’m too stupid to find? I really want one now. I like my 59 enough but I would like it more if it was just a bit more like the Jazz.

I got it from a Forum Bro who pulled it out of a high end ESP.
It's the perfect neck pickup for a super strat.

As long as you aren't trying to sound like Eddie V.
