transpose it to a different position? That's the thing with guitar and tabs in general. You can play the same thing in multiple positions. The notes will be "right" but they will be different timbres.

I'm thinking that maybe the transposer used the open string chords, instead of bar chords in the original key. This could work, though. I just need to find time to try it out.
