Re: Brobucker Clips Clean and Dirty

Thanks Joe, I think that this pup could easily be a production Antiquity type pup if introduced to the public. I agree that this pup can and will cover a lot of ground and do it all very well. I'm real anxious for you to post a clip of your LP and the Bogner. Got to get someone who can really play post some clips.

I'm wondering if SD will make this a Custom Shop pickup, or if it's viable to release it as a new standard model? I think the aged magnet issue forces it to be a Custom Shop deal.

its very crunchy, AND the cleans are hot.
      i Liked it man.
like dthe hot tone for leads at the final of the clip too.
it shares some similarities with the super distortion, Isnīt It?!
      i liked it.
      i have just ONE question...
      hummmmmmmm 2 questions
Is there a neck version of it?
How tight is itīs bass?! any comparison to C5 and CC please?
      thankīs for the clip

Re: Brobucker Clips Clean and Dirty

Hails my southern hemispere brother! I only recorded upper mid gain on the amp, but the pup handles full gain VERY well. I don't think that it is as trebley as the SD, it has a much more even EQ. The bass stayed pretty tight, but I could only compare it to the Wagner Fillmore that I replaced in the LP. No neck version unless you want to custom shop order one from Seymour or MJ. But I can say that it works well with my Fillmore neck and others have paired it with the Jazz with good results.

Re: Brobucker Clips Clean and Dirty

Sounds like the brobucker allright , cool different tones you get from it for shure! Isn't it amazing how great the cleans are?

JP: I find the Brobuckers low end to be tighter and bigger sounding (becasue it's less compressed) than the C5. This pickup can do extreme gain, you guys would be surprised how well it'll handle low tunings.

Re: Brobucker Clips Clean and Dirty

                          nothin' wrong with that tone!

I think the range of tone you've shown covers a lot of ground, and should make a lot of people happy. I liked the first part myself - surprising beef that should satisfy some of the heavier gain players, yet it retained definition, articulation, and personality, and that's not always an easy trick.

the clean tones could pass for single coils IMO

again, a lot of ground covered there

I was planning to get the Bro B into my Hamer yesterday till a new amp intervened. Now I'll have to consider the R7.

Thanks again guys, I just wish that I could have played better to really show what this pup will do. Curly, putting the Brobucker in your R7 will surely put a BIG smile on your face when you play her.
