  • 2204 w/t Texas Heat & Private Jack

This is the homebrew 2204 into my 2x12. The Texas heat is right outta the box and the PJ has about a hour on it. I was getting great classic to hard rock tones from it with the Flying V. For this test ,I just grabbed my Strat and plugged in to see what kinda blues tones I could get from it. I could have tweaked it for a more single coil friendly tone,But I wanted to see what it sounded like with the amp set for a aggressive hard rock tone.

Very very cool bro, i really like it...id love to hear it chunked up with some buckers too Great tone and playing though!

If i could get that backing track off you somehow that would be great, id love to make a similar thing to showcase my komet someday and that track would be great for it

That was real good! Sadly, the guitar track had some clipping

I'm a total Spaze with a compressor. I think I over compressed this time? It was going thru a ART tube preamp w/t OPL (Limiting)? it could be my sound card? But it's probably me. Young Angus.. I'll put that BT up on soundclick next chance I get. I'll shoot you a PM when it's up.
BTW, I also have a Alesis nano compressor I used on my last recording. The results where even worse? I need to get a clue?

          Nice tone.

Now, put the mic across the street, open the doors and windows, and crank that puppy.

Then call Mike and see if he heard it.

Yikes! The guitar is too loud! But nice playing, and minus the clipping, it sounds pretty rich and earthy. Cool stuff.
