  • First clip ever - short rock solo

I did this with Guitarport and Riffworks. The drums in Riffworks are really limited, which turned me off from the start, but I came up with this little solo. It's sloppy and off-beat in places but hey...it's my first time recording. What do ya think?

Good clip, man. I dig. You've never recorded anything before? Sounds real good for a first recording.

Good tone, too. What are you using? (Guitar, pups, etc.)

The clip is an American Strat with a JB in it. The rhythm tone is based off the treadplate I think it's called with some tweaking and the lead was one of the Hairmetal presets.

Sounds good. Are you using 500k or the guitars original 250k pots with the JB?
