    first clip on page

Excuse the total lack of vibrato where it needs to be...I didn't think I'd be posting this...just wanting to see how it sounds recorded

    What amp is it, Jerky????

    Sounds cool to me Jeffy

What program do you use on the laptop?

You just going guitar into amp....laptop mic capturing it & then use the program for recording?

Gotta get me something & experiment a little.

Sounds good. Very tubey and open sounding. I like it better than the POD recordings although some of those tones were sounding really good after tweaking the settings a lot.

Thanks Erik Yeah..the POD/XTL sounds good...direct especially... But I wanted to get back to a "real" amp..couple analog effects...KISS it.

EDIT: I'll say this though.>Eriks sounds pretty mean...and I like the way his records...but it's not a Crate

Sorry Davey.. like I said I didn't even think I was gonna post it...I hadn't had the amp on for 2 minutes after I got it home...just set everything at noon and started playing... But I liked the crunch factor after I heard it, so thought I'd see what others think

Hey, that wasn't a shot......just trying to goad you into telling us what the hell you have!

Eric, I've got one too....my 1st amp & honestly, it's not THAT bad.

My 6 year old daughter has it & she rocks out!!!

                            Didn't see your Edit Terry.

Yup pretty much..I just shove the laptop directly in front of the speaker and adjust the laptops mic level to keep it from clipping.

I use the Windows Sound Recorder program. It sucks..you only have 60 sec of recording time. Then I use ..errr "CD-Ex" ? (I downloaded it free somewhere on someone here's recco) to convert the .wav to a mp3

EDIT: I'll field some more guesses before I reveal the amp Just had to get something more practical that would do a decent JMP/JCM 2203 crunch but wasn't a modeller. This thing does quite well at low or high volumes and was CHEAP (it's an older amp..prolly 6-8 years..I bought it used)

Mine doesn't have the effects, just a plain old GX-15, no reverb even. Killer amp.

C'mon Jeff, spill the beans, bro.
