what are your guys' opinions on these mics?
i've been looking for some decent mics to record vocals with and something to use for drum overheads.
my roomate has the 990 and he's been raving about it, and he's played some of the stuff for me that he recorded with that mic. it sounded good, and the 990/991 package appear to get good reviews, but the $99 price tag, as nice as it is, makes me a little nerveous as you usually get what you pay for.
can these mics be considered good quality, or simply just good for the money? with a budget of say... $150, $200 tops, would you reccomend a different mic for vocals, or will this mic get the job done as well as the next one?
