  • Stang Clips, by popular demand ;)

Alright, just so people can get some idea of what this thing sounds like... (Joelap in particular...) well, this is what a Stang sounds like. through a $5 mic into a crappy laptop using Microsoft Sound Recorder Trust me it's more impressive in real life.

    Both Pups (my fave)

Neck (though this sounds cool too)

Out of Phase (this would be a cool setting for funk, but I wasn't in a funky mood so)

    Bridge

A few clips of chords and such Joelap wanted to specifically hear...

Decided to show off some distortion just for fun Anyone who can name this song gets +1000 cool points.

Neck pup into FAB distortion shown off with Dinosaur Jr.

I'm surprised just how different it is from the Jag... the Stang's got way more strat in it, bassier (A2 pups, 250k pots etc.) feels way different too... smaller, stiffer. Don't ask me to pick just one of em

Joelap, I know those clips could be more like the JF clips if I turned down the treble or rolled back the tone. but that wouldn't be SLADE style

    **** I love this thing.

      heh, yep, plays excellent

To be honest, went down to Guitar Center Hollywood a few days ago... they had bunch Stangs, 64 to 66 that hadn't been ripped apart... I wouldn't have traded mine for any of em (Even though those were worth about $3k for being original ) This is the second best mustang I've ever played... It's nearly perfect.

          Sounds awesome!!

Here is a major7 chord you might like..

          e-----x------
          b-----7------
          g-------8----
          d---6--------
          a-----7------
          E-----x------

Of course you can shift it

Wow, people are really getting a taste for what kind of chords (and guitars) I'm into...

            I'm too predictable

That is a nice sounding guitar! It sounds like a Strat with more acoustic tone behind it - very "natural" sounding. I hope that makes sense.
