I've been tryin to get the cover off of the bridge humbucker in my les paul for like 2 hours. I want to put tape on the inside of the cover where the slugs are so the slugs and cover don't touch, so that it cuts squeals. I've tried everything, I know its not soldered, its jsut stuck. my dad held the ears with wrenches and i pulled the cover as hard as i could but it only moved like 2 millimeters and it feels like im gonna rip the pickup in two. if any one knows what to do please help me out. and one other completely different question. does anyone know what effect to get for this sound, its kinda like a saxaphone sounding it sounds so ridiculously cheap its startling but its cool for solos.
