  • 2 tunes (live @ band rehearse 2006) JazzTrio

Today my bro on drums, band mate on bass and me on guitar did a band rehearse and recorded the stuff.

I like these 2 the best and thought I could share it here.

    Footprints

    Afro Blue

    Enjoy!

Can't wait to test the Yamaha SA2200, these clips were done with the Ibanez RG.

My bro did a great job on the mix..kudos!

Indeed i did enjoy it. I might steal the chord changes for 'footprints', for my Groups Jazz Jam this arvo, very fun

Your bro can play good drums hey. How many mics did he use to record it?

          Thanks

          Footprints is by Wayne Shorter!

There are some moments where we're kinda lost but we come together sooner or later.

On Afro Blue we did this crazy intro but it's cool..grabs attention.

My bro had only a single bassdrum machine so he did the double bass with one pedal. Sadly the first attempt we did was smoother but the bass wasn't recorded and my bro had a real flow on the first one..he can do it even tighter!

            The Chick classic

            Spain

            Ah yeah the mics.

I used a SM57 for the amp, 2 condenser Audio Technica positioned in the room for the drums. Bass was recorded as an DI unit.

Thanks..it is tricky, especially when many people should play it unisono

In a trio it's not a huge problem.

I think I've found a good way to play the unisono stuff on guitar, if you want the tabs, just give a sign, I'll tab it!

Just listening to your new jaz thread..will comment in a minute!
