  • Custom Shop Deco 2 10k - Blues Tune

Out of all my Duncan Custom Shop pickups, this has got to be one of my top favorites. This is a blues tune that I did several months ago. I played my Les Paul with a Deco 2 10k pickup in the neck position. The amp was my home made rig, and I used my Tube Factor for the distorted parts. MJ said this was her favorite tune from my instrumental CD

Thanks guys. I actually did this as a demo for MJ, then used it as a song later. That's why the guitar is so out there in the front, so you can hear the nuances of the pickup without too much background music.

I thought it was a good split between clean and gainy.

Sorry, Lee, I disagree - doesn't seem harsh to me.

Stevo, what's the specs - I mean, I guess it's 10k, but how do you desscibe it?

            Thanks bros
Curly it is pretty sweet. It's a little thinner and brighter sounding than the 59 but it still has that sensetivity of the 59. If I didn't have the phat cat stack on order then the deco might be the ticket for the LP neck position.

Great job Stevo. Those sound clips actually make me want to run out and buy a Deco set myself.

Very nice. A lot of bite for a neck pu. Does it provide enough of a difference compared to your neck pu? What I mean by this is I once had a set of pu's that had a bright neck with great articulation matched with a smooth bridge pu, only problem was they ended up sounding very similar.

That was some sweet tone right there. The cleans sounded like they had an almost single-coil quality there, it was sooo clear! Great playing, as usual

                      Wedding song lol!
Al it is plenty thick when compared to the bridge. I just messed with the amp's eq a little here.

Wow Stevo . . . that was sweeeet.

I'm not sure what Lee was talking about. That was anything but harsh.

(Then again, we don't agree on much.)
