  • I can't figure out how to respond to the message you sent about your preferred wiring for your player Strat. I guess I could get rid of the first pot as well. In my wiring scheme it only serves the neck single coil and I never roll the pot off. It stays max treble at all times. But for this build I already have a pickguard with three holes. I guess I could put one in there that does nothing. There's nothing about the placement of the pots that interferes with where I want to place my hand or fingers.

On an unrelated note --- I'm doing a metalflake lacquer finish just for poops and giggles. What a PIA ... never again.
    Dear Mr. Whizzy,

I have been absent for a few years, and just popped in to see what condition my condisition was in. It's great to see a familiar name and that you are apparently alive!!

Every once in a while, I think about digging up your email address to see how things are, and then I forget about it. Celebrated ten years cancer free in July, and I think I may have come around to your school of thought on tone from pedals. Great to hear from you.

Thanks for remembering me, and congratulation on you health victory! Take it from a confirmed pedalaholic - proceed with caution. I am one day away from rewiring my final pedal board, and I plan to sell all 35 (or howevermany it is) that I'm not using no matter how much I may like some of them. I just don't know the best way to do so. I may give Sweetwater's used gear program a spin.

No Prob Whiz!!! I have no tolerance for ignorant people who spout off complete

bullsh!t. I came to this forum because of my passion/obsession of Guitars,

Amps, Pedals, and Pickups. Not to mention learn a thing or two in the process

from knowledgeable people such as yourself. :beerchug:
Ha, sorry, dude. I suck at notifications.

I don't remember calling you out, though. I checked that thread and I think you might have got me mixed up with Convoys.

Nevertheless, that's a sweet board, man. Nice work. :beerchug:
Thanks! I plan on sticking around. I felt a bit bad being here initially as i haven't used duncans for quite a while but i am actually going to be using some in my upcoming guitar project.

The SLO took a lot of reading up to do but it is definitely worth it. I have another build coming up next month that i'm hopefully going to document from start to finish which will hopefully be useful/interesting to some people and may inspire some people to do something themselves.
Ha. Yeah, my brain is a little boggled right now. I also need to exercise restraint and stop posting in that thread before I dig myself too deep a hole. I'm not in a mood to suffer fools today.
Your yellow SG is gorgeous! I just saw the picture in the Pickup Lounge. Holy smokes...

Thank You....Have had this one a very long time..
Ha, thanks dude. I was proud of that one, so I'm glad someone noticed. Have a good new year, lad. :beerchug:
