For those who like and use the Screamin' Demon in a neck position, ever done a magnet swap for it? I have a pair of Demons in a LP and like it very much. But in my constant insatiable quest for tone, I was wondering what an A3 version might bring to the neck position.

Since the Demon came out in the 80's. Is it possible that it was meant to be paired with a neck single coil? or as a stand alone bridge? Who knows which guitar George first put the Demon in?

Re: Stag Mag as a neck pickup? I use 2 StagMags. My neck pup is flipped to keep the, middle coil split, RWRP where I want it. In a Les Paul the StagMag has a classic LP neck pup tone when in series mode. I did primarily buy it for it's split tone, but it is an awesome neck LP pup.
