From the ground up. I had this idea for a while, & I finally got it completed. It's a Warmoth T baritone intended for punk rock & classic rock stylings to look rustic with some modernized features. I didn't actually assemble it; I had a luthier shop nearby put it together for me.

I know a few scattered people out there do this, but I thought it would be more common. It was easy & fun, and I don't even listen to a lot of Jimi. The guitar is the cheapest Hadean Strat-style from Rondo. I just put this together with some birthday money.

I just bought a cheap Strat copy from RondoMusic - mostly as an art project. It's made in China, and all of the fret wires have really rough surfaces. How easy is it to smooth 'em out myself, having never messed around with fretwork before?

I haven't read the whole conversation, but for me a normal Stratocaster with a hot bridge humbucker rocks hardest. My Strat currently has a super long Warmoth neck & stripped down to just a single Hot Rails & a volume knob.
