Anyone here use or have used these? I'm doing a Strat build and am interested in any opinions on them. It's a hard tail alder body, maple/maple neck. I already have a 50' re-issue that I've put SSL1's in and am looking for something a little different.

I got this from a Forum member a few weeks ago and having never played through one, apparently I'm not a tubescreamer person. It's still in the same excellent condition that checo sent it to me. Heck, I'm even using his photo. I have about 2 hours of playing time on it, and I'm asking $5 more...

One of the Tele's I built last summer had a Phat Cat at the neck and a '59 Trembucker at the bridge. It sounded pretyy frickin' good. This past Sunday I swapped the '59 for another Phat Cat. Purrrrr! I think I'm going to take Blueman335's oft' given advise and do a mag swap on the neck pickup...

Anyone here know about them? I can't find anything on the web about them. I just picked up a LesPaul style one with a set neck and flame top(probably photo flame) from a guy. with a little Marshall SS amp, levy strap and an old Guild case for $80.

I completed this build last saturday. The L'il Red Bean. Ash body, maple/rosewood neck, bone nut. Fender Texas Special bidge p'up at the neck, Fender Fat 50's middle, Duncan Quarter Pound at the bridge. As with all my Strats the bridge is blocked with maple, and yes that's a Squier neck plate...

I just swapped out the Mean 90 that was at the bridge of "The Scabb" for a Phat Cat. The difference was like taking cotton out of my ears. The Phat Cat has alot more definition, cleans are what they ought to be, turn out the volume knob and it gets snarling like junkyard dog. Roll the tone back...
