Hi everyone, I'd just like to get some opinions on this build: Ash body, Maple Neck with Ebony Fretboard and a set of SH-6 Distortion pickups. Would this be overly bright or brittle sounding? Thanks!

I have a real rusted up JB and Jazz set. Can I swap out the rusted pole pieces with similar sized screws? What will I end up with if I swap out the ceramic SH-6 Distortion magnet with an alnico 5? Thanks guys! Can't seem to find the answers I need on the net or in pre-existing threads.
