    Trembucker Cover Drawings?

Old thread, but how did you fare?

Lessons learned in my first week trying to build guitars

What's the rationale for doing all the fret work first and shaping the neck afterwards? Wont the time and materials used be wasted if you slip up and ruin your intended neck shape?

    Pearly gate height

Had one in the neck of my LP for a few years, though admittedly that was some 10+ years ago now. But I don't recall it being particularly bright, at least not in any way that stood out to me.

Mess it up further, et voila, pedal board. Then back to cutting board. Then back to Tele, but now it's "Roadworn Vintage Reissue"

That is my understanding as well.

    Should I get a 24 fret guitar?

You'll be just fine. Neck leads with a lot of gain on a 24 frets can sound great, it's just a matter of finding the right pup for it/for you.

    Anyone Using A Tremoline?

Some of it is primarily aesthetics. It's flatter, so if you like keeping your hand far back on the bridge, there's nothing in the way. Personally, I have a hard time seeing how this was ever a problem. Hell, I even use the way the base plate on a regular Floyd is designed to do vibratos or...

Dingwall. Can't say I love the design, but it is clever. Their basses also sound freaking great.

1992....arguably the greatest year for guitar amps in history?

Precisely. But non-tube clipping is also what happens inside pedals, and the general consensus around those seem to be "ZOMG totes awesome". To be fair, the general antipathy towards the 900 series was a few years ago. The pedal hype cycle came later. Sure, but so are most tube amps...

    Direct mount woes...

I don't mean swap between those two pups. A bottom plate is a piece of steel or brass with two legs bent downwards and a couple of holes drilled into it. I'm no expert, but I'm willing to bet you could even get away with simply using a flat piece and not even bend the legs in this particular...

1992....arguably the greatest year for guitar amps in history?

Which is hilarious, given today's propensity towards modelers or worse yet, insisting on using a tube amp but then stacking 15 different first pedals in front.

    Direct mount woes...

Wouldn't it have been easier to swap the chassis on the pup instead?
