Anyone else have a problem of strings getting cruddy on a rosewood board before a finished maple board? I changed the strings on both my LP and Strat at the same time, played the Strat twice as much, and yet the strings on the LP are cruddier than on the Strat. The only thing I can come up with...

Hey guys, anyone experience a buzzing from their saddles on any Strat bridge? I have a Callaham bridge and getting a ton of buzzing/rattling from the the G, B, and E saddles. Fresh stings, old strings, it doesn't matter; still won't go away. Any thoughts on the matter? Thanks in advance! Danny

For those of you who use this combo in your Strats, how do the pups transition one to the other? When going from the neck to middle to bridge positions, do the pups transition nicely, or does it sound like a different guitar, especially the bridge? Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

Both work great and still have boxes. Been sitting in the closet for 2 years. $35 each.

So I was reading the thread regarding the Antiquity single coil bridge pickups and it got me thinking about something. If I understand things correctly, overwinding a pickup will yield a lower treble response and possibly boosting a little low end. Then we have these Fralin/Callaham base plates...

hey guys, i've been thinking of dropping a ssl-5/ssl-1/ssl-1 combo in my strat. i've also been kicking around the idea of the clapton electronics kit as well. will the ssl-5 plus the boost be too much midrange? or should i forgo the ssl-5 and just drop three ssl-1's plus the mid-boost?
