Mustaine's solos were Newstead'd/Burton'd where they were underproduced. I would look forward to a remaster by Rick Rubin or someone of that calibre to reproduce/remaster albums that were greatly misrepresented/underproduced. There are so many classic albums that deserve to be produced properly.
He is my #1 shredmaster. Chris Broderick is a virtuoso but he couldn't replicate Marty's nuances.
No delay, no echo...just Marty's sick AF chops through a JB..
If you listen closely with high quality speakers/amp or headphones, the overtones from the pickup just beg for more. SD RULES.
I attack my custom G&L Fallout like Phillip Sayce attacks his strat and the low E often gets stuck on the bobbin tape.
So intead of risking fucking up the pickup I think it's time to add a nickel cover. Do I need to remove the pickup to add it? Does it need glue?
Mincer, I took your advice to adapt to it rather than deck it.
ehdwuld, when it comes to truss rod adjustments and intonation adjustments I'm just not comfortable doing it myself. I used to pay $60 to get it done and I just had it done recently for almost $100 more at the same shop but at least...
I was playing it a couple of days ago and about 30 min in it started crackling. I stopped and checked the amp. I wiggled the reverb connector. It went away but I think I need to crank it to work out the cobwebs.
I ordered the footswitch and it still hasn't arrived. I'll keep y'all posted.
That's so cool you met them. The MJ-made pickup I have, I'd rather pay the marginally uptick in price for CS pickups based on what I hear rather than feel.
