Re: THE LACE ALUMITONES PICKUPS!!! NEED HELP
Never used a deathbucker; however, I have a set of alumitones in an SG copy. Sound great and have no issues with playing 'Metal' with them. 500k pots work just fine.
Re: Triple Shot replacement switch(s)?
Mincer,
I got this at the local Radio Shack:
It seems to be the correct one but will not know for sure until I can take the triple shot apart.
I will update later. I did send a email to Seymour Duncan, asking about replacement switch, over a week ago...
Does any one know where to find replacement switches for the triple shot pickup rings? I have a set that the switches are going out and I think that I can swap them out if I can find the right size. I have searched but have not found any as small as the ones in the triple shots.
Thanks,
Joe
I have a Zhangbucker Brownbucker with the "splat" feature. The splat uses a 3 wire hook up with 2 hots and a ground.
I would prefer not to have to replace one of my pots with a push/pull and I'm hopeful that one of the forum members could figure out for me how to wire to a triple shot ring...
Re: Has anyone seen, heard or tried the frankfalbo highpass filter trick
The one issue with "vintage" style that I have is the interaction with the volume and tone control. The drop in volume when you turn down the tone, I do not like at all. The "Tapered Treble Bleed" does not have this...
What is the output of the '78 model neck PU? Does it also use an A2 magnet? I did a search and could not find any thing other than a thread started by LtKojak last year but there wasn't any answer posted.
I have two sets of Gibson T-Tops. One set from '76 and one set from '78. Has anyone here tried swapping out the short A5 magnets? If so, what was your experience? I was thinking of trying out a A2 (bridge) and a A3 (neck), to be used in a ES-335.
I purchased a new (2014) ES-335 a month ago. I never heard of the "Memphis Tone Circuit" before I got this guitar. I have been scouring the internet for information but have not been able to find anything that is concrete. No wiring diagrams or schematics anywhere. Some say that it is '50's...
I recently purchased a new Gibson ES-335 (2014 model) and while I really like the '57 classic in the neck position, the one in the bridge just isn't doing it for me. I have been tweaking the pickup heights and polepiece screws and the pickups are balanced but I would like a bit more Output, "not...
I have a 1978 Gibson "The Paul" guitar.
The body and neck are made of walnut and it has an ebony fretboard. I have replace the stock vol/tone controls (300k/100k) to all 500k and replace the caps to PIO 0.015 neck, 0.022 bridge. It has the original "T-Top" pickups which I'm considering...
