  • Hey, noticed on a prev thread you had a brass block upgrade on your TRS101, did it make a big difference as I managed find a guy on ebay that says he might be able to custom make a one off for me. Thanks man!
I like the Douglas guitars so far. The necks on the 'Tele' and 'Rhoads' are the same-thicker, still good. the 'Explorer' is thinner and more my cup 'o tea. The explorer's neck compares to my LTD if you've ever played one.
The build quality is good, they're <$200 though so you'll need to do some setup. I replaced the nuts with GraphTech. The pickups, well honestly I NEVER plugged them in, I got the guitars and the aftermarket pups at the same time so it was open the box and tear the guitar apart, so I can't comment on the sound. It's a $200 guitar, my guess it not great.
They are worth the investment. I have about $300 total in each and I'm VERY happy, I'm getting more once the money tree blooms!
The wiring color codes are for Gibson pickups as far as I remember. There shuold be some conversion table in StewMac regarding pup wire color codes. Good luck. Doron
You can use hex screws in place of the Invader poles and it will make it less muddy and make the bass tighter which works well for palm mutes.
Hey you did that pinstriping yourself? Looks good! Is it an RR3 or something similar? I'm just saying because those look like Invaders and it has a Jackson vibrato on it...
