I have a query regarding pickup choice for a 1980 Gibson Explorer E2. I currently have a Custom Custom SH11 in the neck posn. and play classic rock (AC/DC early UFO style). The sound is great lower down the neck and sounds full and sweet but past the 12th fret the sound gets just too bright...
